The year 2004 was not too good for her in the movie field and she didn't get much offers. Next year she got two movies- David Dhawan's 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' and Ramgopal Varma's 'Sarkar' (2005), in a small role which showed much improvement over her maiden release. In between she did her Telugu debut 'Allari Pidugu' (2005)which more than made up for her flop.

Katrina's first release in 2006 was 'Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye'. Her outstanding performance in the film, her best till date, has been highly acclaimed by the audience. She also acted in a Malayalam film called 'Balram Vs Taradas' with superstar Mammootty.

Her success story started in the year 2007, delivering five back-to-back hits. Her stunning looks and performances in 'Namastey London', 'Apne', 'Partner', 'Welcome' and 'Race'.. fetched Katrina good reviews and lots of praise.

Besides spinning gold at the box office, Katrina also has an assorted line-up of brand endorsements. These include Nakshatra diamond jewellery and Veet hair removal cream, among others.

An incurable romantic in real life, she is rumored to be involved with Salman Khan. But she flatly refuses to speak to the media about her romance.

Initially filmmakers were hesitant to sign on this Britain-born sensational actress, because of her strong British accent. But five years of hard work and determination have paid heed, now making her one of the most sought after actresses in the Bollywood industry.
